Eden Close
For this renovation to a three-bedroom Kensington house, we took a boxy, cramped-feeling interior and transformed it into a light-filled, open-plan and highly desirable space.
The house originally had a fire escape corridor on the ground and first floor, which took up a lot of space and meant that the rooms were far too compartmentalised. Adding a domestic sprinkler system meant that we could safely open up the reception rooms and kitchen, install glass doors leading to the garden, and make the staircase open-sided.
We also extended the mansard roof to create a master bedroom suite on the second floor.
All of this dramatically changed the nature of the space, creating a spacious, contemporary home with a limited budget.
